Turning Volunteers into Ambassadors

More than 120 alumni and student volunteers and staff participated in the annual Volunteer Summit on April 22. The day consisted of informative sessions, tours and working meetings. Many of the sessions were led by senior staff, including College Chaplain The Reverend Callista Isabelle, Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students Allison Gulati, and the newly appointed Provost Dr. Kathleen Harring.

This year’s Summit was focused on empowering and equipping Muhlenberg volunteers with the knowledge they need to serve as ambassadors of the College. Session topics ranged from updates about Advancement and the College's new strategic plan to inside looks at admission and student life. Workshops focused on The Muhlenberg Network, annual giving volunteers and reunion committee best practices.

Vice President for Advancement Rebekkah Brown ’99 announced a series of initiatives to professionalize the volunteer program, with an overarching theme and new program title of "Muhlenberg Ambassadors."

A highlight of the day was the annual Volunteer Awards Luncheon, and this year’s lunch celebrated a full range of milestones by Muhlenberg Ambassadors. Congratulations to this year’s volunteer award winners! Thank you to all the Muhlenberg Ambassadors for everything they do to support the College!
