College Employees Celebrate at the Faculty and Staff Campaign Breakfast

Employees Recognized at the Annual Faculty and Staff Campaign Breakfast

On August 21, 2014, faculty and staff who supported Muhlenberg with a gift in the 2013-2014 Fund Year gathered in the Wood Dining Commons in Seegers Union with President Helm and trustees for the Annual Faculty and Staff Campaign Breakfast.

It was a record-breaking year with more than 67% of employees giving back $96,000 last year. President Helm thanked employees for their generosity and recognized the members of the Faculty and Staff Campaign Committee, who represent many academic and administrative departments across the College.  Trustee Beth Adderly Evans ’92 talked about her Muhlenberg experience, both as an alumna and former employee in the Office of Admission.  She also recognized the 19 employees who have been making gifts to the College for 20 consecutive years or more.  Patrick Fligge ’08 took the stage to talk about why he supports the College with a monthly gift via payroll deduction and as a member of the Circle of 1848.  The program concluded with President Helm and committee member Ruth Morris ’12, P’99, P’03 unveiling the recognition poster, which displays the name of each employee who made a gift.

Employee support is important in helping the College achieve its mission as the contributions are the biggest vote of confidence they could give to the institution.  Every gift, no matter the size, makes a direct impact on the lives of each and every Muhlenberg student.
