Alumni Weekend FAQs

Which classes are celebrating a Reunion in 2017?

Alumni with class years ending in "2" and "7" will celebrate reunions this year.  The Class of 1967 (50th Reunion) and the Class of 1992 (25th Reunion) will mark their major milestones; while the classes of 1972, 1977, 1982, 1987, 1997, 2002, 2007, and 2012 will also reunite.  Heritage classes (years 1966 and earlier) are celebrating milestone years, too.  Even if it’s not your reunion year, all alumni are welcome!

Where can I view the Alumni Weekend Schedule?
Look for the printed registration brochure in your mailbox, or see the schedule online at

How can I find out who's coming to Alumni Weekend?
Visit your Class Page and find the section "Look who's coming back!" to see a list of classmates who plan to attend Alumni Weekend.  If you're not in a reunion year, check out the Homecoming page.

How can I get in touch with someone in my class?
The online Alumni Directory gives you immediate access to your classmates’ contact information.  (You must be logged in to MuhlenbergConnect to access this.)  Another option is to utilize your class' Facebook group.  You can find a link to the Facebook group on your Class Page, or search "Muhlenberg College Class of XXXX" on Facebook.  Once you arrive on campus for Alumni Weekend, check out the message board at the Welcome Center to find out where friends are staying or to leave messages for them.

Where should I go during the weekend if I have questions?
Visit our team of staff and volunteers at the Welcome Center in the Seegers Union Lobby.  We're happy to help!  The Welcome Center is open Friday 9/15 from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday 9/16 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

What should I wear during Alumni Weekend?
Traditionally, the weekend is casual and relaxed, so plan to dress comfortably.  Allentown weather varies – the average high for September 16 is 75 degrees, low 53 degrees.  Many alumni prefer to dress up for the Saturday night class dinner – from dresses and jackets to walking shorts and polo shirts.  Check your Class Page to see any specific directions from your reunion committee.

What should I bring?
Photos of family and friends, memorabilia from your college years, weather-appropriate clothing, a camera and a smile!

Are children welcome?
Yes, children are welcome and they can join in many of the weekend's activities including the Homecoming Fair, lunch, and athletic events on Saturday.  The reunion class dinners on Saturday night are for adults only; however, we are pleased to offer childcare service for the first time in 2017.  Childcare will be available during the dinner hours for kids age 3 and up, and will be facilitated by students from Muhlenberg's Education department with proper clearances.  You may register your child(ren) for this program within the standard Alumni Weekend registration process.  Registration by the Early Bird deadline of August 28 is required so we can ensure appropriate staffing levels for the safety of all participants.

Will the Muhlenberg bookstore be open?

What package should I select?
This year, all activities are priced a la carte; there are no package prices.  The price of the Saturday night reunion dinner includes entry to the after party.  An Early Bird discount rate is available for registration by August 28.  Most activities that do not include a meal are offered to alumni at no charge.
Can I just show up on campus at my reunion?
Yes, but you will need to pay at the door to enter your class dinner.  Door rates are significantly higher; you can save by registering in advance.  Also, space is limited, so we cannot guarantee seating for those who pay at the door.  We strongly suggest advance registration - save money and avoid the hassle by registering now!

Do I need to register for MuhlenbergConnect and login before I can register for Alumni Weekend?
No, this year you do not need to login to your MuhlenbergConnect account in order to register for Alumni Weekend.  However, some features of MuhlenbergConnect, such as the Alumni Directory and other special pages of the site are only available to logged-in members.  If you would like to use these features, you will need to complete the First-Time Login process first (or login to your existing account).

Please don't stress!  This year you do not need to login to your MuhlenbergConnect account in order to register for Alumni Weekend.  But if you have any trouble with the registration process or any features of the MuhlenbergConnect website, just call us at 1-800-464-2374 or email  We are happy to help and are typically in the office Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. EST.

Why doesn't my pricing match the activities I selected?
You might notice this issue if you made multiple changes in the course of filling out the Alumni Weekend registration form.  Occasionally your computer may “remember” previous saved decisions you made, and this can affect your total on the billing page.  If you have a problem, please call the Alumni Office at 1-800-464-2374 and we will be happy to help you with the registration process.

What should I do if I need to change my registration?
